These pictures are from April 13, 2002. This is our second inspection of the land prior to finalizing the purchase. We found a few things that will need to be cleaned up, but it looks great to us! Dug a couple of holes and they came up dry.

Harney Heights Rd looking south.JPG (197618 bytes)

This is our new neighborhood. One of the few paved roads in the area.

Front Entrance.jpg (368432 bytes)

And at the end of the road is the entrance to our new adventure. It sure will take a lot of work. We can’t wait.

Looking South.JPG (398885 bytes)

A sampling of one of the more open areas. This view is near the front entrance looking south from the power line easement.

Trash in the powerline near the entrance.JPG (346950 bytes)

One of the many welcome gifts we found hidden on the property. We found this stack of old pallets dumped on the power line easement near the entrance

Standing under the powerlines East.JPG (247750 bytes)

Looking east across the easement. It’s hard to believe that all this and more will be ours.

Powerlines looking south near the turn.JPG (214846 bytes)

Looking south at the turn in the power lines from over near the Flagler trail. Those towers are HUGE.

Trash in the powerline near the turn.JPG (248649 bytes)

And under the turn in the power lines, another present. Someone left us a pile of shingles, pipe and assorted building material.

Fire ring near the powerline turn.JPG (255783 bytes)

Someone turned this load of shingles into a fire ring under the power lines. Nearby we found lots of beer cans, cigarette boxes and a set of clothing. (I would think it was kind of hard to explain coming home without pants and shirt)

Trash near the powerline turn.JPG (393472 bytes)

On the north end of the power line turn, we found these bags of broken concrete blocks.

More trash near the powerline turn.JPG (276700 bytes)

More shingles and carpet at the north end of the power line turn.

Poaching - Another carcus.JPG (410811 bytes)

Poaching - Deer carcass near the fire ring. I guess they needed to BBQ while trespassing.

One of the trails heading North.JPG (316656 bytes)

This is one of the paths heading North from the power line. Kind of reminds you of those National Geographic documentaries of the jungle. There is even a peacock making jungle noises in the distance.

Trash along the 4 wheeler trail.JPG (381102 bytes)

Trash thrown off to one side of the above path.

Trash along the 4 wheeler trail 2.JPG (381104 bytes)

Another view.

Looking northeast from the middle point.JPG (425756 bytes)

Looking northeast from the mid point of the path. This is the kind of view that the native Indians woke up to each morning. No wonder they tried to protect and nourish the land.

Look what our neighbors to the north gave us2.JPG (323147 bytes)

Look what our neighbors to the north gave us. This occurred since our last visit to the land. Their land is now cleared.

More poaching - Deer skin near the Flagler Trail.

Poaching - Deer Spine.JPG (418938 bytes)

Here is the skull and spine

Lake Harney.JPG (156471 bytes)

A view of Lake Harney from the end of Lake Harney Road.  It is about 2 miles from our land.
