The weather is finally right to get the lines cleared. Since the logging broker failed to uphold the clause in our contract dealing with running their equipment down the lines, (The loggers did a good job, the broker is the one to blame.) we had to hire out the line clearing. We managed to get Barry with Florida Land Improvement Inc. and his associate, Stevie with Grade & Haul Inc. to do the work for us.

SE_Corner.JPG (1399420 bytes) The South-East corner is now an easy walk. Soon we will be able to drive there.
SE_Corner_looking_W.JPG (1413472 bytes) Looking west from the South-East corner. This is how it used to look. It's a huge difference.
E_Line_cleanup.JPG (1448231 bytes) The Loader with it's root rake moving the last few pieces down the East line.
Little_stuff_coming_out.JPG (1418060 bytes) The Excavator with a few small trees that he just pulled out. It would have been a job for our tractor. It was a few seconds for the excavator.
Removing_a_tree_1.JPG (1435842 bytes) Working on another tree. First they dig around the tree, then they lift out the tree.
Removing_a_tree_2.JPG (1342654 bytes) Then both guys attack it with chainsaws to get it into manageable pieces for the burn pile.
