We ran across this little guy in a pile of manure. It is a Dung Beetle, which
collects balls of manure. I believe they use them to harbor their eggs, but I'm
not exactly sure.

They are sure fun to watch while they chew out the round balls. |

They make them round enough to roll back to their nest. It's like a
barrel roll. They get on top of the ball and use their feet to roll it
back home. |
