The rip-rap on the trail continues at a rapid pace.  With the help of Grade and Haul we were able to get in place in no time. The second project was digging trenches out for the utilities going to the barn.

The rip-rap is started on the North West side of the trail crossing.
Here Steve is digging out for the South East side.  It is much easer that using a shovel with all of the pine tree and palmetto roots.
Here is the crew.  Cindy was helping to move the bags of ready-mix concrete so it would go faster. All I had to do was keep hauling it and help unload it.
After the Rip-rap was in I had them dig a trench for us to put the pipe in for the barn electric, water, and compressed air.
We had thought about doing it ourselves with a tow behind backhoe.  I am very glad we had Steve out for the work as there were two large stumps that were in the way.
Here is half of one of the stumps.
There was about 220' of trenching down just over 30" deep. This one goes to the propane dispenser.
We were at one time thinking about digging it all out with a shovel. We made the right choice by not doing it ourselves.
