We purchased some modular racks that were too tall for the room. They previously had been chewed off using a torch.  We wanted to do a bit better. We did some cooler work during the hot part of the day working on the propane tank.  The trail crossing is DONE! We have some of the calves over there with a temporary water supply.

We needed to remove the weld on the diagonal brace as we are cutting off 2/3 of it's height.  We will reuse the diagonal braces as horizontal braces across the top of the units.
The weld is easy to grind down till it separates.
It was starting to get dark and the sparks look rather pretty.
After removing the cross brace for reuse we cut the side rails.
Earlier in the day Cindy and I were scrubbing a 1000 gallon propane tank to get it somewhat ready to paint. Here Cindy is removing the loose paint on the bottom. We will be using this for the water supply on the 8 acre parcel.
The trail crossing is done and looks nice.  This is looking across the trail.
This is a picture looking north on the trail.
We wasted no time in setting up a water buffalo as a temporary water supply . It is just outside the pen on the west side of the trail to hold the cattle till we have the gates set.
We put part of the calves over there and they went to town on the grass. This is the first time we have been able to make use of the 8 acres.
This is the walking area across the trail.
This is what it looks like with the gates closed across the trail so we can move cattle across.  We still need to put the hardware on the gates.
This is the pen on the east side of the trail to hold the animals until we can get the gates set.
